11 is my favorite number. (It’s one better than 10.) I’m also an unrepentant Spinal Tap fan!
Inspired by top 10 lists I offer you 11 (one more than 10) of my favorite inspirational quotes. Don’t under estimate the power of an honest, uplifting message to stimulate someone’s thinking, reframe a challenge, and energize the weary. I love to collect quotes and reflect on the deeper meanings and implications beyond the ‘simple’ phrase that serves as their container. There are many more than 11 uplifting quotes, for sure. I’d love to hear what resonates with you!

I love them all… so difficult to choose. It is amazing they are all similar and yet, I agree with you, that if you stop to think about the deeper meaning they are really different. For today, in this moment, # 9 inspires me the most!

Love this celebration of day 11! Love the William Butler Yeats and the Malala quotes. Here’s a favorite message from Peter Reynolds: “There is more good than bad in this world. More light than darkness and we can make more light together.”
LOVE that one! Thanks, Ramona!
What a wonderful idea. Here’s my quite since childhood from The Little Prince Il est très simple: on ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux. Here is my secret. It is very simple: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
BEAUTIFUL!
I love them all, too…but right now the one resonating with me is “Forget the mistake. Remember the lesson.” 🙂 Thanks for sharing! I’m a quote collector, too!
Love, love, love this post. I might be a sucker for educational/inspirational quotes, but I cannot help but feel a little bolder and encouraged after having read them this morning, so I sincerely thank you for all 11!
All of these are wonderful, but #6 really makes me sit up and think. Thanks for sharing, Paula!
#8 is one of my favorites from Einstein. Love this collection!
This is a great collection of quotes! I like #6!
Beautifully, visually organized – powerful food for thought – and I remember Spinal Tap! Too, too funny! I am going with Frost – I am an awakener.
Great collection and I sure you could have added so many more! I like #8 because it seems like some people (not teachers) ask our students to do things that they just cannot do. So unfair!
How I love this post. Education can change the world. What a wonderful thing to remember-we are awakeners. Thank you for this.
What a great idea, Paula! I love the Dalai Lama’s quote. Thank you for sharing these.
This is a great idea for a post…thank you for sharing such great quotes! I love them all, but the first3 are especially powerful for me right now.
