snow falls- flake by flake but rises fast- foot by foot moves slow- scoop by scoop
Here in Maine, we are in the middle of our third nor’easter in two weeks that has dumped at least a foot each time. This is our 8th snow day (2nd this week) and winter isn’t over.
Fortunately, we’ve had melting in between storms to keep the snow from burying us.
Unfortunately, the timing hasn’t been great for keeping school in session.
Fortunately, I love snow and it’s beauty.
Unfortunately, I also love summer and it’s beauty. I want to have some time away from the classroom to enjoy it before June ends!
My Zen word for the day is acceptance.
working on acceptance right now. reframing that it is a good day to write, to think, to read. I’m safe at home and the kiddos are safe too. Just be.
I know exactly how you are feeling. Remember this will pass. At some point we will be complaining about the heat!! Stay strong.
Hope we see spring soon! We got lucky with the last nor’easter here in PA. Hope snow days are in the past now!
I have so many goals to get done with my students. We can’t accomplish them here at home!!! I am hoping this is the last day we will have a snow day!!!
I agree!
Two structures in one post, that’s talent! 🙂 Snow, a four letter word at this time of year.
Your haiku is amazing, and I am so loving the parallel structure throughout! Fingers crossed the snowstorm cycle will end soon.
Thanks, for your kind words and your well wishes!!
Love your haiku. I featured them today too. I cannot imagine all those snow days! Eight! Wow! How many do you get before you have to make them up? Is this an unusual winter for you?
Well done, Paula! Hope a lot of this snow melts before the next round hits next week!
We’ve had some melting today! Need room to put more!
